Lorne and Vicki are non-salaried full time volunteers with Youth With A Mission Chico California www.YWAMchico.com   Under YWAM Chico's covering they have been living in Honduras since Aug 2000 serving another separate ministry called Manos Extendidas (MEH)  www.MEHonduras.org Also see: Staff bios.

The Lord has given the Parsons vision regarding missions work in Honduras through outreach to the poor, through training, evangelism, mercy ministries and favor in diverse networking -linking needs to resources- that advances Kingdom efforts throughout the Body of Christ and the secular world.

Lorne and Vicki currently oversee SOS Tree Chatter with Villager Sun Ovens donated by the William Temple Solar Project www.RotarySolarOvens.org, Thus far, 7 self sustaining women's co-op owned and operated micro-bakery businesses in poverty stricken areas have been established, saving time, money spent on firewood, reducing diseases associated with smoke inhalation and helping protect the environment.

To establish one solar bakery it involves networking with Honduran NGO's, oven refurbishing, business and baking training seminars, bakery site construction, oven installation and several months of project monitoring. Funding and donations from government agencies, businesses, church groups, clubs and individuals makes this possible.
