Community Serve Day
Mount Soledad Community Serve Day
"Work for the peace & prosperity of the city where I've put you.
Pray to the Lord for that city where you are living, for if it has peace, so will you."
Jeremiah 29:7

On Sunday, May 31, the members of Mount Soledad Presbyterian Church gathered together to serve their community. There were several different oppurtunities to minister, and together the congregation:
- PAINTED - Presbyterian Urban Ministry center (interior rooms) PUM is Christ-centered service ministry to poor, inner city people providing food, clothing, resume, i-net service, identification papers, job counseling and referral. Go to www.pumsd.org for more info. Team Leader: Mark Brown
- CLEANED the beaches and sidewalks: Demonstrated "Creation Care" for God's earth and enjoyed fresh air and good fellowship. Team Leader: Mike Seawright
- PACKED personal hygiene packs for the homeless. Presbyterian Urban Mission helps hundreds of people get off the streets and into a better life through Christian discipleship, jobs, housing, and pastoral care. The first thing needed is basic hygiene. We packed toothpaste/brushes, soap, and other toiletries into hundreds of hygiene packs. Team Leader: Sarah Stoddard This "Pack" project was done at the Mount Soledad Campus.
